Prospect Heights Music has been serving the greater Brooklyn area since 2010 - providing piano and voice lessons, audition coaching, songwriting and composition lessons and music theory tutoring for children and adults.
Mission
To foster imagination, creativity, confidence and personal growth through the study of music.
Through active listening, music gives us an understanding of ourselves and others, as well as the opportunity to explore the world around us in a way that is engaging, honest, and inherently meaningful. Music education teaches us that problems can have more than one solution, and questions can have more than one answer.
What We've Achieved
PHM students have been accepted to numerous NYC specialized middle and high schools including: Special Music School/Kaufman Music Center, LaGuardia, Murrow, PPAS, Sinatra, Mark Twain, Brooklyn High School of the Arts, and Talent Unlimited.
PHM students have performed on stage at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and with The Met Children’s Choir.
PHM students have auditioned and been accepted to various post-secondary music programs, including NYU and Columbia University.
This past semester alone PHM students have composed 30 original pieces.
